Deportation Process: 210 illegal immigrants detained on Thursday

Efforts are being made to identify those who have committed illegal online gambling, online frauds and criminal cases by illegally entering Myanmar via border areas while passing through the neighbouring countries including Thailand.

On Thursday, 210 more illegally entered foreign nationals were detained. The departmental organizations are immediately carrying out the collecting process of personal information and documents of the detainees in order to deport to their respective countries as soon as possible.

From 30th January to 20th February, 1,763 foreigners who have entered Myanmar illegally were identified and among them 261 have already been deported to their respective countries via Thailand in line with the procedures and laws. The remaining 1,502 detainees are also ready to deport to their respective countries.
