Department of Biotechnology launches AI-powered biomanufacturing initiative

The Department of Biotechnology of India held a special workshop titled “Shaping the Future of Biomanufacturing with AI-powered Innovation,” highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in advancing biological research and industrial applications.

The Bio-AI workshop focused on how AI can transform biomanufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, innovation, and scalability. A key development during the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Biotechnology and India-AI, a body under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The collaboration aims to accelerate the integration of AI in biological sciences, fostering innovations in biomanufacturing and related sectors.
