Dental Medicine Conference: Union Minister attends 2-day Conference in Nay Pyi Taw

The Myanmar Dental Medicine Conference (2023) continued its second day at the Myanmar International Convention Center II in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.
On the 1st day, Union Minister for Health Prof. Dr. Thet Khaing Win attended the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the exchange of medical knowledge on surgical treatment of congenital cleft lip and palate patients between the Department of Medical Services and the Korea University Medicine.
On the 1st day also, foreign experts and professors from the Defence Services Medical Academy held discussions related to dental medicine. On 2nd day, the Union Minister attended the academic discussions and seminar of dental professionals and presented honorary certificates to the chairperson and the speakers.
He then proceeded to the signing ceremony for the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the joint development of teaching and research activities in dental medicine between the Department of Human Resources for Health, University of Dental Medicine (Yangon), University of Dental Medicine (Mandalay) and the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University of Thailand.
And, the professors from the Korea University Medicine, Dental Surgeon from International Medical University of Malaysia, officials from Myanmar Dental Council, University of Dental Medicine (Mandalay) and professor from University of Medicine 1 (Yangon) made sector wise discussions on dental medicine.
Themed ‘Bring quality dental health to the people’, the Myanmar Dental Medicine Conference was organized by the Ministry of Health. The 2-day event included 25 parallel sessions.
