Dengue Fever Prevention: Preventive Measures Underway In Twante Township

Preventive measures against dengue fever are being carried out in Twante Township of Yangon Region on a weekly basis. The measures included public awareness raising on dengue fever and abate adding, according to the Information and Public Relations Department.

Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infection. Severe dengue is a leading cause of serious illness and death in some Asian and Latin American countries.

About half of the world's population is now at risk. There are an estimated 100-400 million infections each year, WHO reports.
