






Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, accompanied by State Ministers, attended a demonstration event showcased rice cultivation using the Drum Seeder method aimed at reducing manual seed scattering practices, along with a ceremony to distribute inputs to RS-CS seed-producing lead farmers held in Kyon Sein Village, Kyaikmaraw Township on July 8.
The event began with the Head of the Kyaikmaraw Township Agriculture Department providing an overview of crop cultivation and production in the township. The Chief Minister then delivered a speech.
Following that, the Chief Minister and ministers presented agricultural inputs to RS-CS seed-producing lead farmers. In response to concerns raised by local farmers, the Chief Minister coordinated with responsible officials to address and fulfill the necessary requirements.
Then, they also observed and supported direct seeding using the Seeder method, rice seed production fields and application of organic and chemical fertilizers at appropriate times and ratios.
Later, the Chief Minister and officials visited Sen Hui Yuan Co. Ltd rubber processing factory in Tarpathoon village tract, Mudon Township.
At the factory’s briefing hall, Factory Manager U Tin Min presented the current operations of the plant via a PowerPoint presentation. He explained that the factory, operated by Sen Hui Yuan Co. Ltd, is a 100% foreign investment project with an approved investment of USD 2.32 million, granted by the Mon State Investment Committee.
The Chief Minister provided guidance on needs and improvements, then toured the factory premises. During the inspection, Factory Manager U Tin Min explained the factory’s operations and the various stages of rubber processing.
