Delegation left for Kunming: Delegation to sign MoU to establish sister cites

An official delegation led by Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung departed from Mandalay in the morning on 11th November, by air to Kunming, People's Republic of China to attend the 2024 International Friendship Cities Cooperation and Development Conference in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Officials saw off the delegation at the Mandalay International Airport.

Joining the Chief Minister are the Mandalay Region Development Committee Director, U Min Aung Myint Soe, and the Chief Minister’s personal assistant, U Win Maung Maung. After arriving in Kunming, they will continue to Chengdu, where the conference will take place from November 11th to 13th, 2024.

Additionally, on November 14, the delegation will participate in a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a sister city relationship between Bagan of Nyaung-U Township, and Lesha City in Sichuan Province. This visit aims to foster friendly cooperation and strengthen the cordial relations between Myanmar and China.
