Delegation arrived back: Global Public Security Cooperation Forum attended

At the invitation of Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, a Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae visited China to attend the 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum to be held from 8 to 10 September and arrived back at Yangon on 10th September.

The delegation was welcomed by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials concerned from the Ministry of Home Affairs. During the trip to China, Myanmar delegation visited Guangzhou at 1:15 PM local time on September 8 and was welcomed by Deputy Chief of Police Force of Yunnan Province and members.

The trip was continued from Guangzhou and arrive at Lianyungang of Jiangsu Province after midnight on September 9.At 9:30 Am on September 9, Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum held at (Haizhou) Bayview Conference Center, forum and gave a speech.

At 3:10 PM local time, the delegation led by Union Minister met with the delegation led by Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Xiaohong and discussed the matters on security and rule of law of the two countries and signed the MoU on establishing Myanmar-China Center for collaboration of Police Forces and the Letter of Assistance to provide policing materials and equipment worth 5 million Yuan and exchanged the documents.

Then, Myanmar delegation took a study tour on exhibition of policing materials and equipment in Lianyungang City.Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae During trip of attending the 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, the positive outcomes of the cooperation of the ministries of the two countries were obtained, it’s learnt.
