








Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn together with Myanmar Ambassador to Russiaian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn attended the BRICS Media Summit and also visited notable landmarks in Moscow, including the Kremlin Palace, Ancient Museums, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers, Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, and other key religious sites in the morning on September 16.
The Union Minister met with the representatives of the Centre for Public and Business Cooperation with the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, where he discussed the ongoing cooperation between Russia and Myanmar, the current situation in the country, the challenges posed by floods similar to those faced by other Asian countries, and the active response and support by the Head of State and officials in flood relief measures and rehabilitation efforts. The Union Minister also provided update reports on the ongoing nationwide census activities.
In the morning of September 17, the Union Minister visited the Myanmar Embassy in Moscow, where he met with Ambassador U Thit Linn Ohn, Military Attaché Brigadier General Moe Kyaw, and staff.
During the meeting, he briefed them on the current situation in the country, the importance of scrutinizing and discerning between fake and true news, and the efforts being led by the Prime Minister in education, healthcare, flood relief and reconstruction, and national security initiatives. He also presented commemorative gifts to the embassy staff.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister met with Mr. Sergey Vladimirovich, the head of Southeast Asia affairs at Roscongress, at Plaza Garden Hotel, where they held frank and open discussions on the rapid implementation of Russia-Myanmar media cooperation.
The Union Minister and delegation members left Moscow on 17th September and arrived back Yangon on the 18th. They were welcomed at Yangon International Airport by officials from the Russian Embassy in Myanmar and the Ministry of Information.
