December sport activities: December mass walk (2nd Week) conducted in Dawei

With the aims at the health and fitness of the entire people, having good habit of doing exercises and building health and fitness by doing physical exercises and sports activities, the December Mass Walk (Second Week) organized by the Taninthayi Region Government was conducted at Shwe Wei Thiri Sport Ground in Dawei Township in 6 AM on 9th December.

The mass walk was let start by the Director  of the Region Sports and Physical Education Department and the participants walked circling in the Shwe Wei Thiri Sport Ground for about one and a half mile and did the physical fitness exercise volume (2).The Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Chief justice of Region High Court Daw Paik Paik Aye, Region Ministers, departmental personnel, students and teachers from Educational Degree College and basic education schools altogether about 1,600 participants took part in the December Mass Walk (Second Week).

Similarly, the students from Educational Degree College took part in the competition of Tug of War in commemorating the December Sports Month and the Chief justice of Region High Court, region Minister for security and border affairs and the members of Region Maternal and Child Welfare Association awarded the first and second prizes.
