Death toll from Tai Po fire rose to 159

Police said 159 people were killed in Tai Po blaze of Hong Kong after three more body remains were discovered. About 31 people remain missing and the searching at all seven buildings of Wang Fuk Court was completed. Many Wang Fuk Court residents said they did not hear the fire alarms go off during the deadly blaze.

Speaking the media after the initial investigation, the Fire Services Department said the fire alarms at the complex were not turned off, but they failed to work when authorities tested them. But the police said they have now arrested six men regarding the alarms.
