Deadly earthquake strikes Pakistan and Afghanistan

At least 13 people are reported to have been killed in a magnitude 6.5 earthquake that struck much of Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan.The temblor rattled the South Asian region late on Tuesday.

At least nine people died in Pakistan and four in Afghanistan.Many more were injured, but authorities were struggling to collect data on casualties and damages from remote areas.The U.S. Geological Survey said the epicenter of the quake was 40 kilometers, or about 25 miles, south-southeast of Jurm district in Afghanistan. It's located in the mountainous Hindukush region, which borders Pakistan and Tajikistan.
