Dams and Reservoirs: Durability of the facilities inspected

Shan hills and central Myanmar have experienced floodings due to the heavy rains caused by the impact of Typhoon Yagi.

The Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department is making necessary measures at the dams and small reservoirs as per the Emergency Preparedness Plan and Rules and Regulations.

Deputy Minister U Bo Bo Kyaw visited Samon Water Control Dam on Samon Creek in Thazi Township, and inspected the inflow of water into the dam and repair works for damaged parts. They also inspected the condition of Nyaung Yan Min Hla Lake and Mon Taing Dam, and gave necessary instructions
