Work has rapidly progressed at Damascus International Airport, which closed on December 8th following significant political changes in Syria.

The airport is now preparing for its reopening on December 18th, with repairs underway on aircraft stationed on the apron and the new Syrian flag being displayed on the planes. As cleaning efforts continue, flight suitability tests are being conducted on the aircraft. The airport is set to resume operations with domestic flights starting on December 18th.
