Damage Assessment: Inspection at the damaged ministry offices

On 19th April, Member of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye in his capacity as the Chairman of the Building Renovation and Reconstruction Supervisory Committee accompanied by committee members visited the offices of the Ministry of Electric Power, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and Mani Yadana Jade Hall which were affected by severe earthquake.

During the visits, the Union Minister inspected the current operation of the offices from temporary setups, met with the concerned officials and coordinated requirements on operation of offices at full capacity.  He also gave necessary instructions on systematic reconstruction and renovation of the damaged buildings and necessary security measures to prevent loss of national assets.
