


According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” over North Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved nearly Northwards and now lies over North Bay of Bengal.
It is centered at about (285) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Thandwe, (200) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar), (160) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), (160) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island and (180) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Canning (West Bangal, India). It has not directed towards Myanmar Coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” is coded yellow stage.
The Cyclonic Storm is likely to continue to move Northwards and further intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm over North Bay of Bengal during next (6)hrs. It may cross between Khepupara (Bangladesh) and adjoining West Bengal coasts, Sagar Island (India), close to Mongla (Bangladesh) tonight.
Under the influence of Cyclonic Storm, people should be aware heavy rain with strong wind, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and also domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
