








State Administration Council assigned senior military officials for rescue and rehabilitation works in cyclone affected areas. On 5th of June, Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Wong Hsun Htan, Lt. Gen Min Naing from Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) together with the departmental officials attended the work coordination meeting 9/2023 of Chin State Natural Disaster Management Committee at the state government meeting hall in Hakha Township.
After the opening speech of Lt-Gen Min Naing, related officials from different fields discussed situations of working processes. Then, Chief Minister and Lt-Gen Min Naing gave necessary instructions in responding to their reports. On the same day, Lt-Gen and officials visited the Hakha People’s Hospital and provided nutritious food to the patients.
Similarly in Kyauk Phyu Township, Lt. Gen Lu Aye and officials inspected the completion of rehabilitation works at cyclone-hit monasteries and donated foodstuffs to the members of Sanga and he also inspected cyclone shelters. He also viewed around the situations of providing health care services to the people and encouraged them.
Likewise, in Buthitaung Township, Lt-Gen Aye Win and officials attended the work coordination meeting on implementing rehabilitation tasks at the meeting hall of township General Administration Office and gave necessary instructions. Then they visited the Basic Education Schools in Buthitaung Township and fulfilled the needs.
On the same day in Ma Tu Pi Township, Brigadier General Khin Maung Aye and officials provided about 750 sheets of 8 feet long corrugated iron sheets to cyclone affected people, donated cash for monasteries and Churches, monasteries of hill region Buddhist Missionary.
And Lt-Gen Aung Kyaw Moe together with officials arrived at Sittwe Township and assisted foodstuffs, clothes, corrugated iron sheets, tarpaulin sheets and construction equipment to cyclone affected victims.
