Cybersecurity Talents: Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge 2025 winners honored

Team Chit Lu Mikes, representing Yangon University of Computer Studies won first prize at the Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge 2025 (Open Level).

Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Mya Htun Oo attended the event, and addressed the ceremony, which ran from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

The event also held in conjunction with the Cyber Security Awareness Video Contest 2025 (University Level) at which Maung Pyae Nyein Aung from National University of Culture and Arts, Mandalay won first prize, Maung Myat Min Khant from Yangon Computer University got second, and Ma Cho Thiri Khine from Yangon Technological University won third prize. Consolation Prizes were also awarded to two contestants.

The winning video will represent Myanmar in the ASEAN-Japan Cyber Security Awareness Video Competition 2025, hosted by Cyber Security Brunei. The event also celebrated the Yangon Galacticos team, who made Myanmar proud by winning the World Championship title at the PUBG Mobile World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team was awarded 30,000 US dollars.

The Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge 2025 (Open Level) was joined by 25 teams, comprising with 75 students from technological universities across Myanmar. Team Cr4ckM3 DD from University of Information Technology won second prize at the Myanmar Cyber Security Challenge 2025 (Open Level) while F0cu8 from Yangon Computer University. The annual event, held since 2015, aims to develop cybersecurity talent in Myanmar and prepare youth for regional and international challenges.
