Cultural Heritages: Work Coordination Held In Nay Pyi Taw

National Cultural Central Committee held its work coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. Chairman of the Central Committee Vice President U Henry Van Thio attended the meeting and gave a speech.
He said that the national cultural heritages have been situated across the country, and it needs to make research not only for the prominent ones but also for the unrecognized ones. He stressed that the Constitution mentioned the fact that all citizens are responsible for long term sustainability of cultural heritages.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture is mainly responsible for protection and safeguarding of the cultural heritages and has enacted the Protection and Preservation of Ancient Antiquities Law and Protection and Preservation of Ancient Building Law.
Protection and Preservation of Cultural Heritage Regions Law was also enacted in February this year.  The work undertakings of the previous meeting minutes were approved at the meeting, and the attendees also made general round of discussion on effective measures for protection and preservation of cultural heritages.
The Vice President urged all to work in cooperation and coordination for preservation and research works for tangible and intangible heritages.
