



Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe, accompanied by concerned officials visited the Lacquerware College (Bagan) in Nyaung-U district of Mandalay Region on Saturday and met with departmental and District /Township level officers and staff as well as trainees.
During the meeting, the principal of the Lacquerware College (Bagan) explained purposes of training courses and learning procedures.
In his response, the Union Minister gave instructions that the Lacquerware College (Bagan) has to preserve Myanmar’s traditional lacquerware arts for long-term sustainability with modern methods without spoiling the original traditional Myanmar lacquerware techniques.
He urged all to spread knowledge learned at the training course and actively participate in the development of their own region. Then, the Union Minister supplemented the requirements upon the difficulties faced by the departmental officials, staff and trainees.
