'Crying horse' and Draco Malfoy become Chinese new year mascots

Horse-themed decorations are flying off the shelves at the Yiwu International Trade Market, in eastern China’s Zhejiang province, as the Lunar New Year approaches. 'Crying horse', a sad-looking horse plushie that suffered a production error, has gone viral as the year of the horse approaches. Draco Malfoy, from the Harry Potter film series, has also become a mascot for the Chinese New Year, as the Chinese name 'Ma-er-fu' symbolises 'horse bringing fortune’.
