Cross-Border haze pollution control: MNREC UM departed for Bangkok to attend the meeting

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for the Ministry ofNatural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi departed from Yangon to Bangkok, Thailand, in the morning on 28th October to attend the Cross-Border Haze Pollution Control Joint Action Plan Launch and Discussion, which will be held on October 29, 2024, in Bangkok. the delegation was seen off by the Thai Ambassador to Myanmar and officials from the Ministry at Yangon International Airport.

The upcoming discussion will include forestry and environmental ministers and senior officials from Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos. Participants will discuss enhancing collaborative efforts to control cross-border haze pollution in order to establish smoke-free zones between Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos as part of the joint action plan.
