Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports Two New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 30th July

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday reported two new COVID-19 cases after testing 1,057 lab specimens as the second batch.

The new confirmed patients are the returnees from Malaysia and Thailand. They are residents of Dala Township of Yangon Region and Kyaikmayaw Township of Mon State. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 353 with 6 deaths till 8:00 Am on 30th July. While 294 patients have recovered from the disease, 279 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

Totaling 3,274 lab specimens were tested by the National Health Laboratory (NHL), Department of Medical Research (DMR), Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay) and Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine) from 29th to the morning of 30th July.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, South Africa, Mexico, Peru, Chile, the United Kingdom and Islamist Republic of Iran, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:36 pm CEST, 29th July 2020, there have been over 16.5 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 656,093 deaths, reported to WHO.
