Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports One New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 11th Of June

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Friday reported one new COVID-19 case after testing 899 lab specimens as the second batch. The new confirmed patient is a returnee from India. He is a resident of Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 261 with 6 deaths. While 165 patients have recovered from the disease, 150 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, India, Spain, Italy, Peru, Germany, Islamist Republic of Iran, Turkey and France according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 2:20pm CEST, 11th June 2020, there have been over 7.2 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 413,372 deaths, reported to WHO. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. 

Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
