Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports No New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 17th July

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Friday reported no new COVID-19 case after testing 254 lab specimens as the second batch. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 339 with 6 deaths till 8:00 Am on 17th July.

While 270 patients have recovered from the disease, 253 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine. Totaling 1,874 lab specimens were tested by the National Health Laboratory (NHL), Department of Medical Research (DMR), Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), Public Health Laboratory (Mawlamyine) and No (1) 1000 bed Tatmataw Hospital from 16th  to  the morning of 17th July.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, Peru, Chile, Mexico, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Islamist Republic of Iran, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 6:03 pm CEST, 16th July 2020, there have been over 13.3 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 580,000 deaths, reported to WHO.
