
Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Friday reported 23 new COVID-19 cases after testing 763 lab specimens. The new confirmed patients are the returnees from Malaysia and Thailand.
They are residents of Thar-Paung Township of Ayeyarwady Region, Kawtkaraik Township, Kayin State, Myeik, Dawei and Kawt-Thaung Townships of Taninthayi Region, Yay, Than-Phyu-Zayat, ChaungSon, ThaHton Townships of Mon State, KyaukTaw, PaukTaw and Mrauk-U Townships of Rakhine State, Oak-Pho Township of Bago Region, Kyauk-Pa-Daung Township of Mandalay Region and Hlegu Township of Yangon Region.
COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 286 with 6 deaths.
While 187 patients have recovered from the disease, 172 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.
