Covid-19 Update: Ministry Reports 13 New Covid-19 Cases At 8:00 A.M. On 24th August

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8:00 a.m. on Monday reported 13 new COVID-19 cases after testing 187 lab specimens as the second batch. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 463 with 6 deaths till 8:00 Am on 24th August.

While 341 patients have recovered from the disease, 335 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine. Totaling 1092 lab specimens were tested by the National Health Laboratory (NHL), Department of Medical Research (DMR), Public Health Laboratory (Mandalay), Sittwe People’s General Hospital from 23rd to the morning of 24th August.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, South Africa, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Spain, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 12:48 pm CEST, 23rd August 2020, there have been over 23.05 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 800,906 deaths, reported to WHO.
