COVID-19 UPDATE: MINISTRY REPORTS 1,010 NEW COVID-19 CASES ON OCT. 1

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 1,010 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday and a total of 6,262 lab specimens were tested from 8 p.m. of 30th to 8 p.m. of the 1st October. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar reached 14,383 with 321 deaths at 8 p.m. on 1st October.

Among the old confirmed cases, a total of 4,156 patients have been discharged from the hospital. The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 7 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Spain and South Africa according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 5:15 pm CEST on 1st October, 2020, there have been over 33.84 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1 million deaths, reported to WHO.
