COVID-19 Update: 66 New Cases Reported on April 3

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 66 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 11,512 lab specimens within 24 hours. One patient has died due to the disease while 149 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 611,875 with 19,433 deaths and 589,991 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease. Up to 2nd April, 2022, over 27 million people have been vaccinated. Of them, over 21.93 million people have been vaccinated two times and over 5.09 million people once and over one million people have received booster dose.

Therefore, over 50.07 million doses of COVID-19 jabs have been vaccinated, according to the press release of Ministry of Health.
