Covid-19 Update: 590 New Covid-19 Cases At 8 P.M. On Jan. 4

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 590 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing a total of 16,990 lab specimens within 24 hours, 16 new deaths and 652 Patients discharged from the hospitals on 4th January. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar have reached 126,935 with 2,744 deaths and 110,200 patients discharged from the hospital until 8 p.m. on 4th January.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:33pm CET, 4 January 2021, there have been over 83.91 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1.83 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
