COVID-19 Update: 41 new COVID-19 cases reported on August 27

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 41 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Saturday after testing 6,993 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 40 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 614,929 with 19,437 deaths and 593,429 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Among the 41 new cases, 5 cases are those who come from abroad and the rest 36 cases are the local transmissions, it’s stated.
