COVID-19 Update: 346 new cases with 1 death reported on October 12

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 346 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 11,350 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s 1 patient who died due to the disease while 250 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 627,328 with 19,468 deaths and 601,296 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Brazil, Germany, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:32pm CEST, 12 October 2022, there have been over 619 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.53 million deaths.
