
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 33 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 7,461patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 10 patients have recovered.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 614,844with 19,437deaths and 593,365 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.Among the 33 new cases, 6 cases are those who come from abroad and the rest 27 cases are the local transmissions, it’s stated. The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Italy, Russian Federation, Japan, Turkiye and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:51 pm CEST, 25 August 2022, there have been over 596 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.45 million deaths.
