COVID-19 Update: 319 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on February 4

The Ministry of Health reported 319 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 23,825 lab specimens within 24 hours.  No COVID-19 positive patient has died while 117 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.  Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 537,223 with 513,779 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. As there is no new death of COVID-19 positive patient, the total death toll is 19,310 so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 75.08 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, France, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:30 p.m. Central European Time on February 4, 2022, there have been over 383.50 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.69 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
