COVID-19 Update: 276 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on December 23

The Ministry of Health reported 276 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 13,407 lab specimens within 24 hours. 7 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 208 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 529,114 with 19,242 deaths and 506,514 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 51.09 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Islamic Republic of Iran and Spain according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 7:06 p.m. Central European Time on December 23rd, 2021, there have been over 276.43 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.37 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
