COVID-19 Update: 189 new COVID-19 cases reported on September 11

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 189 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 9,378 patients within 24 hours. At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 57 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 616,852 with 19,442 deaths and 594,280 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
