Covid-19 Update: 187 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On December 28

The Ministry of Health reported 187 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 12,842 lab specimens within 24 hours. 3 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 151 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 530,000 with 19,260 deaths and 507,586 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 51.77 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Islamic Republic of Iran and Spain according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:50 p.m. Central European Time on December 28th, 2021, there have been over 280.11 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.40 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
