COVID-19 Update: 139 new COVID-19 cases reported on March 31

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 139 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 13,046 patients within 24 hours. There were no patients who lost their lives due to the disease on March 31 while 311patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 611,587 with 19,430 deaths and 589,312 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy and the Republic of Korea, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:19 pm CEST on 31 March, there have been over 485 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.137 million deaths.
