COVID-19 TREATMENT: CONDITION AT 50-BED TRADITIONAL MEDICINE HOSPITAL IN BAGO

Since October 6th, the 50-bed traditional medicine hospital in Bago has received Covid-19 positive patients.

According to the superintendent of the hospital, currently, there are 36 Covid-19 positive patients - 22 men and 14 women.
The hospital has been providing necessary medical treatment. With the contributions of society organizations in the township, breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner are provided to all patients.

Medical Superintendent, 50-bed Traditional Medicine Hospital (Bago), Dr. Htein Lin said "We do provide necessary medical treatment including measuring blood pressure and checking body temperature and oxygen level twice a day.
Every room has landline, and I also contact the patients on their mobile phones to check their condition.
Most of the patients here are the young people and those with no symptoms. If any of them shows serious signs and symptoms, they will be transferred to Bago General Hospital."

According to the report of the Ministry of Health and sports, there are 569 Covid-19 confirmed cases in Bago Region with 3 deaths on the 8th of October 2020.

Construction of temporary hospitals is underway in the Bago University compound to house more patients when necessary.
