Chairperson of the National-Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on Friday reported the latest situation of COVID-19 to the public.
The State Counsellor stressed that the country has managed to control the disease to some extent.
The number of infected persons is over 30,000, but, about 45 percent of them have been discharged. And, the mortality rate is 2.4 percent.
She warned those who have symptoms to see doctor immediately and urged the public to take care of their health. Regarding treatment, the best medicines are being used for the patients.
She also stressed permission for workplaces which follow the rules, regulations and standards and meet the “A” level criteria to resume operation.
She also pledged that the Government does not neglect the nationals abroad and accepts their return. The State Counsellor expressed words of thanks to the nationals abroad for their advance voting for 2020 General Election.
Preparations are underway for the citizens in the country to cast votes in a smooth and fast process in line with COVID-19 guidelines.
