COVID-19 Response: Chin State COVID-19 Prevention and Response Committee Meets

Chin State COVID-19 Prevention and Response Committee held its work coordination meeting on 21st May.

Committee Chairman Chief Minister Salai Lian Luai said the State Government able to provide health and social assistance of local people in cooperation with the concerned departments, social organizations and well-wishers. Likewise, community-based facility quarantine have been implemented in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports. Since COVID-19 is not ended yet, he urged all to continue cooperation in respective sectors. He also stressed for implementation of seasonal flu prevention measures and routine vaccination.

The officials later reported on the condition of facility quarantine, the arrival of more returnees and work undertakings.

The Chief Minister coordinated the needs.

As of 21st May, a total of 1632 persons have been put under quarantine, and 1025 have already completed the quarantine period. 607 persons remain under quarantine and among them, 239 are at home quarantine, 363 under the facility quarantine and 5 under the hospital quarantine.
