Covid-19 Report: Ministry Reports 98 New Covid-19 Cases At 8 A.M. On Sept. 9

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 a.m. on Wednesday reported 98 new COVID-19 cases after testing 1,082 lab specimens. The new positive patients are residents of Yangon Region, Rakhine State, Kachin State, Bago Region and Nay Pyi Taw. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 1,807 with 12 deaths.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Peru, Colombia, South Africa, Mexico, Spain and Argentina, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 1:52pm CEST, 8 September 2020, there have been over 27.23 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 891,000 deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
