
Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 a.m. on Thursday reported 63 new COVID-19 cases after testing 1,144 lab specimens. The new patients are residents of Yangon Region, Nay Pyi Taw, Rakhine State, Bago Region and southern Shan State. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 1,058 with 6 deaths.
While 359 patients have recovered from the disease, 348 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
