Covid-19 Report: Ministry Reports 63 New Covid-19 Cases At 8 A.M. On Sept. 3

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 a.m. on Thursday reported 63 new COVID-19 cases after testing 1,144 lab specimens. The new patients are residents of Yangon Region, Nay Pyi Taw, Rakhine State, Bago Region and southern Shan State. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 1,058 with 6 deaths.

While 359 patients have recovered from the disease, 348 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, Peru, South Africa, Colombia, Mexico, Spain and Argentina, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 3:56pm CEST, 2 September 2020, there have been over 25.6 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 852, 000 deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
