COVID-19 REPORT: MINISTRY REPORTS 517 NEW COVID-19 CASES AT 8 P.M. ON SEPT. 24

Ministry of Health and Sports reported 517 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to the lab results of the National Health laboratory (Yangon), the Department of Medical Research, the Public Health Laboratories in Mandalay and Taunggyi, 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital, the people’s Hospitals in Bhamo, Dawei, Myitkyina, Muse, Pyin Oo Lwin, Sittway, Hakha, Myeik, Hpa-An, Kyauk Phyu, Myawady, Magway, Taung Oo, Myaung Mya as well as No.2 1000-bed Defence Services Hospital (Nay Pyi Taw) and No.17 100-bed Defence Services Hospital in Sittway.

A total of 2,426 lab specimens from were tested and 517 new cases were found. COVID-19 confirmed cases in Myanmar reached 8,344 with 150 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 24th of September.

Among the old confirmed cases, a total of 2,381 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
