COVID-19 REPORT: MINISTRY REPORTS 2,158 NEW COVID-19 CASES AT 8 P.M. ON OCT. 10

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Saturday reported 2,158 new COVID-19 cases after testing 16,312 lab specimens.

32 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 312 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 26,064 with 598 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 10th of October, and 7,050 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Peru, Mexico and South Africa, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 3:40pm CEST, 9 October 2020, there have been over 36.75 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1.06 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.

Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
