COVID-19 REPORT: MINISTRY REPORTS 1,910 NEW COVID-19 CASES AT 8 P.M. ON OCT. 11

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Sunday reported 1,910 new COVID-19 cases after testing 14,809 lab specimens. 48 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 2,692 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 27,974 with 646 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 11th of October, and 9,742 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Peru, Mexico and France, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 2:45pm CEST, 11 October 2020, there have been over 37.10 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1.07 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
