COVID-19 REPORT: MINISTRY REPORTS 1,400 NEW COVID-19 CASES AT 8 P.M. ON OCT. 7

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Wednesday reported 1,400 new COVID-19 cases after testing 12,322 lab specimens.

39 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 302 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 21,433 with 510 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 7th of October, and 6,084 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Colombia, Peru, Spain, Argentina, Mexico and South Africa, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 4:23pm CEST, 7 October 2020, there have been over 35.65 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1.04 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.

Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
