COVID-19 REPORT: MINISTRY REPORTS 1,252 NEW COVID-19 CASES AT 8 P.M. ON OCT. 6

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Tuesday reported 1,252 new COVID-19 cases after testing 10,074 lab specimens.

27 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 234 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 20,033 with 471 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 6th of October, and 5,782 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Spain, Mexico and South Africa, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 3:07pm CEST, 6 October 2020, there have been over 35.34 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
