Covid-19 Report: Ministry Reports 12 New Covid-19 Cases At 8 A.M. On August 31

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 a.m. on Monday reported 12 new COVID-19 cases after testing 1,172 lab specimens. The new patients are residents of Mingaladon Township of Yangon Region and Kyaukphyu, Sittwe, Ponnakyun and Kyauktaw townships of Rakhine State. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar have now reached 787 with 6 deaths.

While 352 patients have recovered from the disease, 347 of them have been discharged from the hospitals and put under quarantine.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, Brazil, India, Russian Federation, Peru, South Africa, Colombia, Mexico, Spain and Chile, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 12:47pm CEST, 30 August 2020, there have been over 24.85 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 838, 000 deaths, reported to WHO. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
