Covid-19 Report: Ministry Reports 1,026 New Covid-19 Cases At 8 P.M. On Oct. 15

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Thursday reported 1,026 new COVID-19 cases after testing 12,975 lab specimens. 33 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 840 patients have been discharged from hospitals. COVID-19 cases in Myanmar had reached 32,351 with 765 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 15th of October, and 14,706 COVID-19 patients have been discharged so far.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Peru, Mexico and France, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 3:53pm CEST, 15 October 2020, there have been over 38.39 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 1.08 million deaths, reported to WHO.

Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems are more likely to develop serious illness.
