COVID-19 REPORT: 1,387 NEW COVID-19 CASES FOUND ON OCT. 17, TOTAL CASES REACH 34,875

Ministry of Health and Sports at 8 p.m. on Saturday reported 1,387 new COVID-19 cases after testing 19,736 lab specimens.

39 COVID-19 patients lost their lives due to the disease while 893 patients have been discharged from hospitals.

COVID-19 cases in Myanmar reached 34,875 with 838 deaths at 8 p.m. on the 17th of October, and 16,370 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals so far.

According to the COVID-19 Dashboard of the World Health Organization (WHO) as of 17th October at 7:43 pm CEST, the World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 7.89 million confirmed cases, followed by India with over 7.4 million confirmed cases and Brazil with over 5.16 million cases.

The Russian Federation, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Peru, Mexico, France, South Africa and the United Kingdom include in high confirmed cases of COVID-19. Globally, there have been over 39 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1.1 million deaths, according to the WHO report.
